Our Schizandra berries are at least twice the size of other common Schizandra berries, deep violet purple and rich in the '5 tastes'.
Schizandra is one of Asia's most revered Tonic herbs and is thought to benefit all 5 organ meridians- the only Chinese herb to have this distinction. It is also famed as a beauty herb which helps instill a peaceful spirit. The Chinese say that Schizandra taken for 90 days will produce a 'perpetual smile' on one's face.
One tablespoon full of Schizandra berries diluted in 1 qt. room temperature water over night, with a little Agave added makes a wonderfully pleasant drink. May also be briefly decocted in hot water for tea.
